At Hutt Valley Community Housing we believe you have the right to a warm and safe home, and the opportunity to live well. However, some people in our communities need support to achieve this, which is why we are passionate about what we do.
What we offer our residents
We recognise that it can feel very difficult to address other life concerns when you are homeless. Therefore, we provide short-term transitional housing in safe, well maintained properties, for single men and family units.
Provided our residents engage with the social services we provide, they can stay there until a permeant housing option becomes available. In most cases, they also receive a further 12 weeks support once a permanent home is found.
We have found that once residents have a secure living environment they are better positioned to find healthy, stable housing and work.
We are building relationships with groups and organisations in our local communities and strive to help our residents become good tenants, good neighbours and contributing members of society.
